__notoc__ This is a very rough start at the style for content on SixLinks. In brief, here's some guidelines for writing content.
We're in this together.
Whenever possible, write with your reader. Use \"we don't turn off the lights\" instead of \"people don't turn off the lights\". It's helpful and motivational for readers, but it's also (if we're honest with ourselves) true.
Write for your mom.
Or you sister or brother. Work hard to make things as simple as possible (but not simpler). Some of this stuff is complicated, but all of it can be explained in a way that's easy for people to understand.
Think Global
SixLinks is and will increasingly become a global site. Keep that in mind when writing content. Stuff like \"Americans tend to..\" should be \"many people tend to..\"
Be Neutral, and Pragmatic
One of SixLinks' core principles is Triage. We're not going to attempt to take on every problem in the world, and we're not going to focus on far-off solutions.
Instead, we keep the site focus on what problems are the most critical, with 'real, usable' solutions. We're not here for agendas or ideals. We're here to make the world a measurably better place.
